Jonathan
Name: Jonathan Levinston
Type: Human (Nerd)
History: Jonathan was the kid that nobody really noticed at Sunnydale High. He didn't mix with the popular crowd, or any crowd for that matter; he just happened to be around when things happened at school.
Despite having no friends, he leads a very active life - he's taken Cordelia on a date: buying her a cinnamon, chocolate, half-caff, non-fat, extra foam cappuccino (but getting the order wrong); he's almost had the life sucked out of him by a 500 year old Inca Mummy; he's been held at knife-point by an assassin; and he's one of the few Sunnydale High students to actually set foot in the Library. For a book!
Nonetheless, he's still a lonely kid. The constant seclusion drove him to attempt suicide at one point by shooting himself in the school clock tower, but Buffy managed to stop him in time and he finally got some group therapy.
Whilst in therapy he met someone who gave him an augmentation spell to make people perceive him as their ideal, turning Sunnydale into an alternate reality where he was a successful Demon hunter, singer/rock star, Army Tactics Consultant and actor.
However, this also backfired on him, as to counterbalance the perfection an equally evil monster had to be created, which Buffy fought and Jonathan eventually killed.
The alternate reality turned reverted to normal, with everyone gradually forgetting what happened.
In Season 6, Jonathan buddied up with fellow nerds Warren and Andrew, and the trio of nerds declared themselves Big Bads and Buffy their nemesis.
They were more of a nuisance to the Slayer than a threat, though at the end of the season, Warren got a gun and tried to kill Buffy that way. He failed, but accidentally killed Tara instead.
This incurred the wrath of Willow, who killed Warren and then went after Jonathan and Andrew.
Buffy and the rest of the gang protected them, and they headed for Mexico. They came back however, when both realised the Hellmouth would open. The duo went into the basement of the newly re-built high school to try and close it up. Unfortunately for Jonathan, the underbelly of the school was where he died.
